Type to Learn Jr: Adding Classes and Students

Preface

• You will probably want to print these directions out because Paws does not allow for minimizing the program such that you can toggle back and forth between the program and these directions
• There is not a separate management tool for Type to Learn Jr (TTLJ); the management is done from within the program

Adding a Class

1. Launch TTLJ
2. Use the special hot key command we discussed in class to access the adult controls (see me if you have forgotten this command)

· You can access this control from any screen; you are not restricted on a particular screen like you are in other programs

3. Click on the Class Lists button
4. If you do not see your class, click the Add button
5. Type in your class name, click Add, click Done

Adding Students

1. Use the steps above to access the Class Lists
2. Select your class from the list and click the Students button
3. Click Add, type in the name of your student, then click Add again
4. Continue to click Add until you have entered all of your students
5. Click Done
6. Click the Back to Program button in the bottom left-hand corner of the window
