How to Create An Application Object for the

Open ConsoleOne
Navigate to the Apps OU in
the school location and click on it
Right click on Apps and
select New—Object
Choose App: Application
and click OK
Choose Manually and click
Next
Name the object (ex: CD Rom)
Browse to explorer.exe in
the “Path to executable” field
Check the box next to
“Display details after creation”
Click Finish
Click
on the Run Options tab
In the “Parameters” field,
type D:
Click OK
Associate to appropriate
users
NOTE: You
can change the icon if you wish under the Identification tab
These same steps will also
work with making a shortcut to a folder.
Instead of typing D: in the Parameters field, you would type the path to
that folder.
