Finding a Particular Email Message in
Outlook
Version 2003 Tony Mitchell
One of the greatest little components of Outlook is the
ability to instantly look through all of your email and find the one you need.
It searches the name you gave the email, the subject, and even the text of the
email. Here’s how you use it:
- Click
on Inbox in the left-hand Folder list
- Look
along the top of this window and find the Look For box (if you do not see
this box, click on the Find tool, immediately to the right of the Send and
Receive command)
- Type
in the keyword from the message for which you are searching
- From
the Search In dropdown menu choose Inbox, or All Mail folders, or narrow
the search by folder (it will probably be best to choose All Mail)
- Click
on the Find Now button to the right of the Search In box
- The
messages that contain that keyword will appear in the space beneath the
Search box
