Making assignments

• Before assignments can be made, teachers and students must be added or imported to the MegaMath database. School ITS's can assist with this
• Teachers should also change the name of their class from default, to their name and grade level: Example - Mitchell3rd. This is done by using the Manage Classes button, selecting the default class on the left panel, and renaming it in the right side panel, and clicking Save
  
• Login to MegaMath and click on the Make Assignments button
  
• Two methods

o   GA standards – aligned with standards

o   Harcourt Math

§  Probably easier for most teachers since the textbook is already aligned / correlated to standards

• Procedures

o   Choose Harcourt Math (or Georgia Standards) from ‘select assignment by’ dropdown menu

o   Choose your class from ‘select class’ dropdown (upper right hand side of screen)

o   Drill down beneath Harcourt Math (or Georgia Standards) into Units, chapters, lessons (or skills

o   Clicking  green/blue triangles will open, display info within

o   Clicking a skill moves it to center panel

o   Drill down to a skill to assign

o   When you want to make an assignment, make sure the skill AND your class name are RED, then click the Assign button beneath the     center panel

o   The assigned assignments appear in the right-hand panel

§  These are the assignments the students will see in their “My Assignments”
