Note About Working with My Documents from Home
Eagle Ridge Teachers,
Once you have moved to ERA and begin creating documents for you classroom needs, you will need to be aware that the new network system at ERA moves any files or documents you save to My Documents to your Home directory (H drive). This is great in one sense because that H drive is backed up and should your computer crash, you could still access and use those documents. Also, this system allows you to have access to your documents from any computer in your building where you can log in. This can be very convenient when you are trying to plan or create lessons from outside of your classroom.
However, there is one problem with this system. If you want to work from home, you will not have access to your My Documents folder. To remidy this, simply create a folder on the desktop in which to place documents you will need to access from home.
We will cover and discuss other options during network training
